One person is quoted as having said,
"Prayer gives peace that our God is in control." And it is true that unless God
is in total control, the turmoil we are in now, will become as nothing when
compared to a world without His hand in our daily lives. It's easy to pray
for someone who loves you and whom you love, but God says to love the
unlovable. (See Proverbs 25:21-22 and Romans 12:19-21 below.)
So let's begin our prayers for the Taliban leaders and every
single terrorist that they might be led to Jesus during this trying time; that
they might learn of Christ's love and His peace that comes from that love.
We pray for Afghanistan and the children that suffer the most in this cruelty,
unjustly, we pray for the people who lost loved ones, we pray for the firemen,
we pray for the police, we pray for the military and people in the service. And
the list goes on.... Kenneth Francart Prov 25:21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee. Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
