To speak my heart, I'll use your words
In absence of my own.
No greater love hath any man,
Than yours, when all alone
You took it on yourself to leave
And step down from your Throne.
And from the garden, as you prayed
My soul did hear your groan.
You looked my way and saw my sin,
You could not leave me there.
You lifted me close to your heart
You said, "My child, I care."
You paid the price my sins incurred,
With Love beyond compare.
For ME you died upon the cross,
And covered my sins there.
But Now, Your life you did reclaim,
Alive for the world to see.
And I rejoice, and praise your name,
For my soul has been set free.
