Abba Father
by Kenneth Francart

Mark 14:35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

In all these verses Abba Father is highlighted. No one understood the totality of those words like Jesus, His Papa and He were one in thought, word, and deed. And it is for this reason: when our Heavenly Father no longer resides in that ethereal heaven but resides, instead, in our hearts (John 14:17), surrounds us with himself John 14:20 and walks along side 2 Corinthians 6:16 of us.
How can we turn to this God who loves us so much that He will not leave us but be in us, immerse us in Himself, and stroll along with us ALL THE TIME, and not call Him Papa, Father?
I heard a statement the other day that had been made by a dying mother, "Remember, there will never be anyone who loves you as much as I do." She did not take into account that God's love for us extended all the way to the cross. His Love for His children is so encompassing that we cannot truly comprehend the depth of it.
That is Abba! That is Father! That is Papa!

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
2 Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

All scripture is taken from the King James Version of the Bible.

Jesus is standing at the door to your heart all the time. He is knocking to come in and love you and guide you. He is offering you the gift of everlasting life, but you must hear Him and open the door to Him as He will not kick it in. (Rev. 3:20) A gift is just outside your heart's door at this time. Will you receive this gift? Will you open the door to Jesus and let him flood your soul with His love? If so, read the following paragraph as your prayer.

Father, I know that I have sinned and I turn from my sinful ways and ask you to come into my heart and cleanse me. I know that I cannot do this on my own and I need your help. Fill my soul, Lord, and make me whole. I want your will for my life to be preeminent. Help me to grow in your way. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus.
    Amen
